Russell Weatherspoon

The esteemed Founder of Grace City Capital brings a broad set of skills to the Firm. Russell is an established real estate investor, established senior engineer, and an aspiring real estate developer. Russell leads and oversees the company’s acquisitions, oversees real estate development and construction activities, and directs the firm’s overall investment strategy. Russell and Paula are members of Rod Kleif’s national advisory group of multifamily operators who collectively own or control over 150,000 multifamily units in the United States.

Russell and Paula have acquired long term buy and hold real estate investments over the years in which they self-manage their portfolio which consists of a multi-family rentals and single-family rentals. Russell & Paula are passionate about making a positive impact in the communities in which they invest and acquire real estate. Several of our tenants have told us frequently that we are the best property managers ever. We feel an overwhelming responsibility to provide exceptional service, products, and experiences to our tenants. If our tenants aren’t happy and don’t become long term tenants, we have not done our job well.

Russell’s strengths are acquisitions, conservative underwriting, detailed oriented and very analytical, asset management, & property management. He is known to be very hands-on.

As an Established Senior Engineer, Russell has worked for Ford & GM(General Motors). At Ford, As a Lead Engineer Russell Managed a Budget of 10 million dollars for the development, implementation, and construction of a pilot manufacturing line in a repurposed facility. Russell had oversight and provided technical direction to a team of engineers. In addition, Russell has co-managed budgets up to 100 million dollars with other engineers for the construction of a new green field site in Mexico, Ford Irapuato Transmission Plant.

While at Ford, Russell Filed 3 utility patents related to automotive manufacturing engineering. 1 was granted and has been awarded in 2024 and 2 of these patents are pending publication.

Russell is a Christian and participates in various philanthropic efforts in the communities in which he resides and the surrounding communities. Russell is currently completing a Masters degree in Applied Manufacturing Engineering.

Paula Weatherspoon

The admired co-founder has a deep passion for real estate & interior design, reconstructing layouts for efficiency, and re-invigorating properties with the aim of significantly increasing the valuation of properties cost effectively. She has actively co-managed the properties in their portfolio with Russell. Her role involves hands-on management and improvement of their real estate investments, ensuring that the properties are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing and efficient for the tenants. Paula's background in Business Administration from Ferris State University further complements her real estate endeavors, providing her with the necessary skills to manage and enhance their investments effectively. Paula is a Christian and participates in various philanthropic efforts in the communities in which she resides and the surrounding communities.

Rod Khleif

Rod Khleif is an entrepreneur, real estate investor, multiple business owner, author, mentor, and community philanthropist who is passionate about multi-family real estate, life, success, and giving back. He has owned over 2000 single-family homes which were rented long-term, as well as thousands of multifamily apartment units.
